1961 Chevrolet Impala "Bubble Top"

$18,500

1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubbletop. Factory 348 tripower, 4 speed car. VIN 11837S200682. I know you have heard it before but this is genuine Old School. I purchased it from an old time "run what you brung" racer. It is not restored but it gets all the attention with its Patina and details.

It looks and feels like it drove right out of about 1970. The full diamond pleat interior was done in 1969. It has a 4.56 posi rear with heat treated Strange axles and Corvette 9 X15 inch Rallies on the rear. The front has 14X5's with 1964 SS caps.

The engine has been rebuilt. It has .030 over pistons, lazer cam and Mallory dual point distributor. It has only 1000 miles on it, starts and runs beautifully. Carburetors are synchronized. Clutch and gearshift are excellent, no slip or drag and the changes are positive.
The car is not perfect but is a solid driver.

Please check out the movie of the car. This is my buddy Mark driving, he is an ace mechanic and he just dialed in the timing and the carbs. I am sorry if you do not like how we drove it, but I think you need to know that it will answer the question if asked. It is putting out about 390 hp.

Car loves to run and sounds awesome. It will grab all the gears. I was offered $7000 for the engine and gear box. No shimmies, shakes, clunks or rattles. Paint is fair. Some dents in trim and pitting in chrome. I am 38 years old and hope I feel and look this good when I am 44.

Please read my feedback. All negative and neutral feedback was unwarranted with no attempt made by the parties to give me a chance to remedy their "problems."
